Terms and Conditions
Last updated:
These terms cover this website, consultations and the Real Change Programme with Derek Chapman Mind Coach, and the online courses sold here. Derek Chapman Mind Coach is run by Derek Chapman, [DEREK TO CONFIRM: sole trader / company name and number], of [DEREK TO CONFIRM: practice address]. Contact: [email protected], 07742 621928.
Not medical advice
Hypnotherapy and mind coaching are not a substitute for medical care. I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, prescribe or advise on medication, or provide medical detox, withdrawal management or emergency care. If a symptom is new, changing or has not been checked, speak to your GP. If you are in crisis, call 999 or NHS 111. Nothing on this website is a promise of a particular result. Whether the work helps depends on you as much as on me.
Consultations
The consultation is a separate first meeting, currently £75 for 60 minutes, in Grimsby or on Zoom. It is booked and paid for through Acuity Scheduling. It is where we work out whether I think I can help and whether you want to continue. It does not commit either of us to the Real Change Programme.
Rescheduling and cancellation: [DEREK TO CONFIRM: notice period and whether the fee is refundable, e.g. "Give me at least 24 hours' notice to move or cancel and the fee carries over. Less than that and the fee is kept."]
The Real Change Programme
If we agree to work together I will tell you at the consultation what level of support I recommend, what it includes, what it costs and where the end point is. The programme starts only when you confirm. Payment terms: [DEREK TO CONFIRM: paid in full before the first session / instalments]. Missed sessions: [DEREK TO CONFIRM]. Recordings I make for you are for your personal use and stay my copyright.
I only work with people who are committed and who want to change. I can end the programme if that is not the case, and I will say so plainly. Where I end it, I will refund any sessions you have paid for and not had.
Mind Set Reset
Mind Set Reset is a private programme in Vietnam, by application only. Submitting an application does not reserve a place. Programme terms, travel, accommodation and payment arrangements are agreed in writing with each person before anything is booked. It does not include medically supervised withdrawal.
Online courses
What you get. Buying a course gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to watch and use its content for your own use through your account on this site. You cannot copy, share, sell or publish the content or your login.
Prices and payment. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Payment is taken by Stripe when you check out. Your account is created at checkout and access is granted as soon as your payment is confirmed.
Cancellation and refunds. Because a course is digital content that you can access immediately, you agree at checkout that access starts straight away and that you lose the 14-day right to cancel once you begin streaming or downloading it. If a course does not work as described and I cannot fix it, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Email me and I will sort it out.
Availability. I aim to keep courses available for as long as you hold an account, but I can withdraw or replace a course. If I withdraw a course you bought less than 12 months earlier, I will refund you or provide an equivalent.
The book resources
The resources page for Turn Sabotage to Success is for people who have bought the book. Its password is for your own use.
Your account
Keep your password private and tell me if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your login.
Reviews and filmed stories
Reviews and filmed stories are the experiences of the people who gave them, published with their permission. They are not a promise of what will happen for you.
Website content
The words, images, recordings and other content on this site belong to Derek Chapman or are used with permission. You may read and share links to pages, but you may not copy or reuse content without asking.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow me to limit. Otherwise, my liability to you in connection with a consultation, the programme or a course is limited to the amount you paid for it. I am not responsible for losses that neither of us could reasonably have expected.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, tell me first at [email protected]. [DEREK TO CONFIRM: professional body and its complaints route, e.g. "I am a member of … and you can also raise a complaint with them."]
General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. I may update these terms; the version on this page when you book or buy is the one that applies to you.
